Admission Info

Admission to CGS is extremely competitive. Parents are advised to complete the forms carefully and submit them before the deadline. Candidates are then required to sit for an entrance test and appear for an interview. The most common points of entry are at Playgroup or for ‘A’ levels.

Playgroup admission: Most students enter Playgroup at the age of 3+ on September 1st of the year of entry.

'A' Level admission: Students must achieve a minimum of 5 'A’s or better in ‘O’ Level subjects including English and Mathematics. They must also appear for an admission test in their chosen ‘A’ Level subjects.

Admission to other classes: Seats are extremely limited for other classes and are conditional on the number of students transferring out of a particular class, which is usually limited to a few each year. All students on the waiting list are invited to sit for an admission test to compete for the available seats.
